Demand Management:
Understanding the demand management process, including sales and operations planning, demand forecasting, and demand-driven MRP.
Creating demand plans and maintaining demand data in SAP PP.
Collaborating with other departments to align production plans with customer demand.
Master Production Scheduling (MPS):
Managing the master production schedule, including creating and maintaining planned independent requirements.
Understanding the planning time fence and adjusting the MPS to match production capacity and material availability.
Integrating the MPS with material requirements planning (MRP) and shop floor control.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP):
Configuring MRP parameters, such as planning strategies, lot sizing procedures, and planning horizons.
Running MRP, analyzing results, and generating procurement proposals.
Evaluating and processing MRP exceptions, such as material shortages and excess inventory.
Capacity Planning:
Understanding capacity planning methods, including finite and infinite capacity planning.
Creating and managing work centers, capacities, and production resources/tools in SAP PP.
Performing capacity leveling and evaluating capacity utilization.
Shop Floor Control:
Executing shop floor activities, including production order creation, release, and confirmation.
Monitoring and controlling production progress, including goods receipt and goods issues.
Handling deviations, scrap, rework, and quality control on the shop floor.
